More than two dozen Nestle cookie dough products are being recalled due to the potential presence of rubber pieces, according to an announcement by the Food and Drug Administration.

The recall affects ready-to-bake refrigerated Nestle Toll House Cookie Dough bars, tubs and tube-shaped “chubs” that were distributed throughout the country and Puerto Rico.

Affected products can be identified by looking at the batch codes on the product packaging, according to the FDA. Batch codes are four-digit codes that come after the “use or freeze-by” date and before the number 5753. Codes impacted by this recall start at 9189 and run through 9295. Do not prepare or consume the affected products. Officials say they should be discarded.

Nestle initiated a voluntary recall after receiving reports of pieces of rubber found in some products, according to the FDA. No illnesses or injuries that required medical treatment have been reported at this time.

The company says it has identified the cause of the problem and fixed it.

The following products are not impacted by this recall: Nestle Toll House Morsels, Nestle Toll House Ice Cream Sandwiches, Nestle Toll House Edible Cookie Dough and Nestle Professional SKUs.

Consumers are advised to retain their proof of purchase and email Nestle Consumer Services.
