‘Life & Beth’ Canceled After Two Seasons on Hulu
‘Life & Beth’ Canceled After Two Seasons on Hulu-September 2024
Sep 8, 2024 3:07 AM

Its the end of the line for Life Beth.

Hulu has canceled the dramedy, created by and starring Amy Schumer, after two seasons. The second (and now final) installment of the show debuted on the Disney-owned streamer in February.

The series follows Beth (Schumer), a woman with a cool job, a great apartment and a boyfriend (Kevin Kane) whos a New York eight, as she says in the shows first episode, who comes to realize how dissatisfied she is with her life. After moving back to her childhood home on Long Island, she considers restarting her life and develops a relationship with a local guy (Michael Cera). Life Beth, which Schumer also wrote and directed, is based on her own experience she joked that the series is 30-some percent fictional in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter when season two debuted. There are some elements that are obviously exaggerated, but some of it is direct from my life and conversations that Ive had, and other stuff is a collaboration from the writers and the actors. It really is an amalgamation of everybodys lives.

Per usual with most streaming services, Hulu hasnt released any viewing data for Life Beth. The show did not crack Nielsens top 10 streaming lists during either of its two seasons.

With the cancellation of Life Beth, Hulus live-action comedy roster features Only Murders in the Building, UnPrisoned and the FX-produced The Bear, along with upcoming projects How to Die Alone, Murray Hill and Chad Powers. Schumer, meanwhile, has Netflixs movie Kinda Pregnant up next.
