Sony Pictures Television is hiring a dedicated executive to guide its franchise strategy.
Jennifer Rogers Doyle, a long-time Disney executive, has joined Sony Pictures TV in the newly created post of executive vp franchise management. Shell oversee the franchise strategy, with an eye toward maximizing revenue, on studio properties including The Boys, Outlander, Cobra Kai, For All Mankind, Bewitched and the upcoming kids animated series Messi and the Giants. Rogers Doyle will report to Sony Pictures TV Studio president Katherine Pope. With our ever-expanding series universes, we are focused on enhancing fan engagement, growing potential audiences and driving the long-term value of our IP, Pope said in a statement. Rogers Doyle spent more than 20 years at Disney, most recently serving as senior vp franchise, licensing and integrated planning for Disney Entertainment Networks. She worked on creating franchise strategies across the companys TV portfolio, ranging from preschool shows (Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, Sofia the First) to those aimed at adults (Family Guy, The Bear). Prior to Disney, she worked at Warner Bros. Consumer Products and Landmark Entertainment Group.
