It’s been nearly two months since 18th District Chicago Police Cmdr. Paul Bauer was fatally shot near the Thompson Center downtown. He was the highest-ranking Chicago officer to die in the line of duty in nearly 30 years. Shomari Legghette was charged with first-degree murderin the case and has pleaded not guilty.
