NBCUniversals Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy has sparked a defamation lawsuit from the rap mogul Sean Combs, who says the documentary features false allegations of serial murder, sexual assault and sex trafficking against him.

Combs, in a lawsuit filed on Wednesday in New York state court, points to accusations that he murdered Kim Porter, who shares four children with the singer, and had sex with minors, among other claims hes concerned will bias potential jurors in his trial. He seeks at least $100 million.

Grossly exploiting the trust of their audience and racing to outdo their competition for the most salacious Diddy expos, said Erica Wolff, a lawyer for Combs, in a statement, NBCUniversal, Peacock TV and Ample maliciously and recklessly broadcast outrageous lies. She added that the documentarys producers seek only to capitalize on the publics appetite for scandal without any regard for the truth and at the expense of Mr. Combss right to a fair trial. The documentary, which premiered in January, explores Combs early life and includes exclusive interviews with those closest to the rapper, including Al B. Sure!, his labelmate at Uptown Records, who speaks out for the first time on his relationship with Porter.

In the lawsuit, Combs targets the documentary advancing the narrative that it cant be a coincidence that Porter and others in his orbit including Christopher Wallace (Biggie), Andre Harrell, Dwight Arrington Myers (Heavy D) have died in a malicious attempt to insinuate that he murdered them. It features an interview with Al B. Sure, who asserts that Porter was murdered and that she killed ahead of plans to reveal unspecified allegations against Combs.

Combs also takes issue with statements from Courtney Burgess, who was subpoenaed by federal prosecutors to testify in front of a grand jury considering additional charges against the rap mogul over alleged videos depicting sexual encounters involving him and other celebrities, and Burgess lawyer Ariel Mitchell.

Burgess has never met Mr. Combs and has never had any relationship with anyone in Mr. Combss family, states the complaint. Nevertheless, Burgess has claimed on multiple occasions that Kimberly Porter provided him with a copy of her memoir and videos depicting Mr. Combs sexually assaulting inebriated celebrities and minors.

Last month, Combs filed a defamation lawsuit against NewsNation parent company Nexstar and Burgess. He alleged that Burgess interviews in which he states that he possesses videos showing the singer sexually assaulting celebrities, some of whom appear underage, may prevent him from receiving a fair trial.

Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy additionally claims that Combs had sex with minors, based mostly around statements from an anonymous subject who said that he saw two minors follow the singer into a room. For sure they were underage, the interviewee said in the documentary, according to the lawsuit, which says that the allegations have been discredited after the women came forward to clarify that they were adults at the time.

The filing of the lawsuit comes after federal prosecutors issued a bolstered version of the indictment against Combs by detailing new allegations in the alleged racketeering conspiracy, including by specifying that there were three victims that the rap mogul allegedly forced to engage in commercial sex acts and that he paid hotel security staff $100,000 for surveillance footage of his alleged March 2016 assault of ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
