Entertainment attorney Dina LaPolt, whose clients include 21 Savage, Cardi B, Mary J. Blige, Tinashe and Offset, is launching a new venture which includes a podcast and the release of her first book. The artist rights activists latest endeavor, LaPolt Media, will focus on producing dynamic content that inspires, informs, and amplifies impactful while also offering a platform for LaPolts expertise and advocacy, according to a release.

LaPolt is the founder of LaPolt Law, a firm that specializes in IP and entertainment law and represents a host of high-profile clients in music, TV, film and beyond. The attorneys first projects under the LaPolt Media banner will be her upcoming motivational book, Street Smart: Succeeding in a Mans World, and a podcast, The Stiletto Room, launching this spring. LaPolt has appointed Samantha Gayle Bullock as chief media officer and executive producer of The Stiletto Room at LaPolt Media.

When I took Dinas UCLA Music Business professional extension course 15 years ago one that focused on the legal and practical aspects of the music business I was already running my own indie rock marketing agency, but the experience was transformative, Bullock said in a statement. It was both a lesson in self-empowerment and a deep dive into how the entire music industry operates. To now have the opportunity to work alongside her is such a full-circle moment.

In Street Smart, set for release on Oct. 7, LaPolt shares her experience building her firm and negotiating large deals. Dina LaPolt is the embodiment of being street smart fearless, innovative, and unapologetically bold, said Joan Jett in endorsing the book. Anyone looking to break through barriers and succeed, in even the toughest of industries, could learn a thing or two from her.

For the podcast, combining the energy of Call Her Daddy with the insight of Mel Robbins, LaPolt is sitting with trailblazing creatives, disruptors, and unapologetic originals to discuss work, life, love, LGBTQ+ journeys, social justice and everything in between.

LaPolt noted that her law practice will remain her first priority and passion, but in creating the new media venture shes building a platform to amplify the voices and visions that deserve to be heard. She added: Launching LaPolt Media is about taking everything Ive learned from fighting for creators, breaking down barriers, and rewriting the rules and putting it into action in new ways.

A member of the executive leadership council of the Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC), LaPolt was honored for her activism in the Black community as the recipient of the Inaugural BMAC Change Agent Award. She is also a board member of the Neil Lasher Music Fund, which offers support to people in the music industry who are dealing with addiction.
