SpinCo has a chairman.

Comcasts spinoff of its cable channel assets has named David Novak to be the chairman of its board of directors, working with CEO Mark Lazarus to help the company launch and execute on its strategy.

SpinCo (its name is still TBD) will be comprised of most of Comcasts cable TV channels (Bravo excluded), as well as some digital properties, including USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, SYFY and Golf Channel, as well as Fandango, Rotten Tomatoes, GolfNow and SportsEngine. Novak, a longtime board member of Comcast, is the former CEO of Yum! Brands, which was itself a spinoff from a larger company. Yum! owned Tac Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut and was spun out of PepsiCo. He will leave Comcasts board once the spinoff is complete.

His first order of business at SpinCo will be building a board of directors to oversee the company in connection with the spinoff.
