Hildy Gottlieb, whose career as a production executive and talent agent repping A-listers in Hollywood has spanned nearly five decades, is retiring at the end of February.
Creative Artists Agency, which Gottlieb joined in 2022 following the Century City-based megafirms acquisition of rival ICM Partners, revealed the transition on Monday.
Throughout her career, Hildy has been instrumental in cultivating the careers of remarkable artists.Her superb taste, relationships, and passion served her clients and colleagues well, said Franklin Latt and Rachel Rusch, co-heads of CAAs Motion Picture Talent department, in a joint statement.We wish her all the best as she begins this next chapter.
Gottlieb, whose recent client list at CAA has included Olivia Colman, Jeff Goldblum, Kathy Bates, Walton Goggins and Michael Stuhlbarg, began her career at ICM in 1980.
She left the agency ten years later to run Alec Baldwins production banner El Dorado Pictures before inking a production deal, along with her husband, director Walter Hill, at Paramount Pictures.
Gottlieb rejoined ICM in 2007 and was named partner at the firm in 2013. At the agency, she also took part as a mentor in the Women in Entertainment Mentoring Program, a joint venture between Big Brothers Big Sisters and The Hollywood Reporter.
