Armada Music Groups dance music investment vehicle Beat Music Fund has acquired the rights to a large portion of the catalog of Canadian DJ, producer and Turbo Recordings founder Tiga, including such titles as Sunglasses at Night, Bugatti, You Gonna Want Me and Lets Go Dancing.

Armada, founded in 2003 by Dutch trance DJ and producerArmin van Buuren, Maykel Piron and manager and agent David Lewis, said the deal also covers HAL featuring Klsch, all of which solidified him as a techno luminary and have collectively garnered over 33 million streams on Spotify. Financial terms werent disclosed.

Teaming up with Beat and Armada Music Group marks a pivotal moment for me as an artist, said Tiga, 50. We share a passion for dance music and a deep respect for creators in this space, and I look forward to working closely with the Armada team to reinvigorate my work and expand the influence of the techno genre.

Armada highlighted: Lauded for his inventive sound that led the early-aughts electro revival, Tiga began releasing music in the late 90s and rose to global prominence with his electronic cover of Corey Harts Sunglasses at Night in 2001. His critically acclaimed albums, Sexor, which spawned viral tracks like You Gonna Want Me, and Ciao! achieved massive success and played a major role in shaping the modern dance scene.

DJ and producer Layton Giordanis recent remix of Tiga and Audions 2013 hit Lets Go Dancing has drawn nearly 2 million streams across various streaming platforms. And DJ Reinier Zonneveld and Zyntherius remix of Tigas 2001 classic Sunglasses at Night also became a 2024 club anthem.

Tiga is a generational talent who has left an indelible mark on the dance music industry, said Piron, CEO of Armada Music Group. His prolific work as both a solo artist and producer has helped shape the genre for nearly 30 years. Were honored to preserve Tigas legacy and look forward to seizing new opportunities to revitalize his iconic hits.

Beat previously struck catalog deals with the likes of Kevin Saunderson, Markus Schulz, Robbie Rivera, Jax Jones, Amba Shepherd, King Street Sounds, and Chocolate Puma.
